Vela Shoot

Here are a few screen grabs from a promo shoot I did last night for a club in Belltown called “Vela.”  Alex Walsh and O’Ryan Brody helped with the lighting and we shot on my Canon 7D.  The overly crowded (and drunk) environment was a shining example of when it’s great to shoot video on a DSLR.  We even boomed the camera over the dance floor with my kessler crane.

I went to Tampa Florida a few days ago for a shoot.  The trip wasn’t super exciting.  Mostly airports, hotels, and offices.  So here’s my favorite iPhone photo of the trip.

Here’s a behind the scenes video I edited for Chase Jarvis documenting the production of his music video directorial debut “Ramshackle Hearse”.  If you’ve got the time, I highly suggest giving it a watch.  It’s got a lot of interesting insight into the creative process, plus a few laughs and some awesome camera toys.  The music video itself can be seen here.

Took my new Canon 7D for a walk in Discovery Park. Saw lots of pretty things and one fearless bunny.
